Paper 4 Topic

For the last paper, I decided to write about how technology can enhance or detract from technology in a freshmen course. This was the first choice of topics. In my paper, I am going to side on either technology enhances education or technology distracts students to the point where they cannot learn. I have personally decided that technology could do either, but freshmen in college should be mature enough to not allow technology to be a distraction and take away from their chance to learn. I believe that once someone turns 18 years of age, they are considered adults. Adults are usually mature and practice self-control. Therefore, freshmen in college (since they are, on average, around 18 years old) should have enough self-control to use technology to help them learn rather than using technology as a distraction that takes away from learning.
